Below are your flight rights in the event that you have experienced a delay, as per the official EU 261/2004 website:
•you have the right to compensation, provided that you arrived at the final destination 3 hours later than the expected time.
•you have the right claim expenses for any meal and refreshment costs that you might have incurred, as a result of Wizz Air delaying your flight.
1) Gather Information:
Note the new departure time, reason for the delay, and any communication from Wizzair. This information is crucial for our provider in acquiring your compensation from Wizz Air.
2) Check Your Rights:
Under the EU and UK regulation that protects flight rights, passengers are entitled to compensation for delays over three hours, depending on the length of the flight and the circumstances. Take time to familiarize yourself with these regulations before starting your claim.
3) Keep All Documentation:
Save your boarding pass, ticket confirmation, and any receipts for expenses incurred during the delay.
5) File a Claim:

As per EU261 of 2004, in order to qualify for compensation:
•Your flight must have arrived in or departed from the EU or the UK.
•Your Wizz Air flight delay must have resulted in you arriving at your final destination more than 3 hours later than expected.
Please bear in mind that you are not entitled to compensation if your flight was delayed due to severe weather conditions or a possible security threat.

The amount of compensation you claim for you flight delay depends on the distance of the flight and the amounts are as such:
· Delayed flights less than 1500km ‣ you are entitled to €250in Wizzair compensation.
· Delayed flights between 1500-3500km ‣ you are entitled to €400 in compensation.
· Delayed flights over 3500km ‣ you are entitled to€600 in compensation.
It is important to note that your flight has to have either departed or arrived in the EU/UK in order for you to be eligible for Wizzair delay compensation.
In the event that your flight has been delayed and you are waiting for it to depart, you are not only are you entitled to compensation but you also have rights to receive the following, depending on the overall distance of your flight:
•Any flight distance - if you have been waiting for 4 hours or less , your meals and drinks will be free of charge.
•Any flight distance- if you have been waiting for 5 hours or more, you have the right to reimbursement from Wizzair.
•Any flight distance- if your fight has been delayed until the next day, Wizz Air should book you a hotel and provide transport to the allocated hotel at their expense.
Only If your flight was cancelled less than 14 days before your departure flight, do these rights apply to you:
• ask a Wizz Air desk member to rebook you on the next available flight to your destination.
• if you rebook your flight for the next day and you have to stay at a hotel, Wizzair will cover your expenses.
• you have the right to claim compensation for your cancelled flight from Wizz Air.
• If your Wizzair flight was cancelled today, go to the customer support desk and ask a member of the support staff if you can be refunded or be booked on the next available flight to your destination..
• Keep receipts of any incurred costs, such as taxis, hotels and meals.
•Don't just accept meal certificates, it is your right to claim compensation, provided that your flight was cancelled less than 14 days before departure and it was not cancelled due to security threats or severe weather conditions.
As mentioned, in order for us to help you successfully claim your compensation from Wizz Air for you, the airline would have to inform you that your flight was canceled less than 14 days before departure, and your flight would need to have arrived in the EU/UK or departed from the EU/UK.

According to the Wizz air cancellation policy, you can cancel your flight ticket up to 3 hours prior to the departure time of the flight, however there is a cancellation fee for those who did not purchase Wizz Flex in their booking.
If you booked your flight through Wizz Flex, you also will receive your refund in your Wizz Air account in the form of credits.
1-Sign into your Wizz Air account and select "Manage my Booking".
2-Select "Make changes".
3-Click "Cancel flight".

If you have booked your ticket through the Wizz Air mobile app, check-in will be available 30 days to 3 hours before your flight (if you have already selected a seat with your booking).
If you have not selected a seat, check-in will only be available 24 hours before your departure time.
You will receive a notification when check-in becomes available. Once you have checked-in, you have the option to download your boarding pass or save it to the Wallet, if you are using iOS.
