The below rights are underlined by EC261/2004 and understanding them is important when it comes to making your claim

if your plane landed at the final destination 3 hours later than scheduled.
•You have the right to Care and Assistance:
during a significant delay, British Airways is obligated to assist you. This can include meals, refreshments, and accommodation if necessary. Be sure to retain any receipts, as these may also be reimbursed.
The British Airways delay policy aligns with EU regulation 261/2004, meaning that if your flight is delayed by more than 3 hours upon arrival at your final destination, you are eligible for compensation.

According to their regulations, in the event that your flight was delayed, cancelled or overbooked (not due to weather conditions or a possible security risks) you are entitled to compensation,
If your BA flight delay resulted in you arriving at your final destination 3 hours later than the original arrival time you are entitled to compensation.
❗Remember: compensation for your disrupted flight is your passenger right, therefore, it is important to make sur that you keep all flight details, receipts and British Airways notifications before your start your claim with us.
•Flights less than 1500km - €250 in compensation.
•Flights between 1500-3500km - €400 in compensation.
•Flights over 3500km - €600 in compensation.
In the event that BA cancelled your flight, you have the below rights under EC 261:
•The airline must offer you the option to rebook you on the next available departing flight to your destination.
•If your rebooked flight is the following day, you should make a claim with British Airways for any expenses that you might have incurred (meals, hotels and transportation).
•You have the right to claim compensation from British Airways, as long as you meet the below criteria.
1) Make sure you are up to date with any updates on your flight status via the British Airways mobile app or by asking a support desk assistant.
2) Ask a BA desk assistant if you can be booked on the next available flight.
3) Confirm the total distance of your flight, as this will determine how much compensation you can claim from BA for your flight cancellation.

Under your EC passenger rights, you can be refunded by British Airways for your cancellated flight. Go to "My Bookings" and see the options that you have available.
Contact the support team from the travel agent application and ask them what options you have to request a refund. In the case that you experience any issues with being refunded, please contact British Airways directly.
Under your EU regulations, you can only claim compensation if your were informed of your flight cancellation 14 days before your departure date.
